Artist John Ross Palmer Appears in Morgan Spurlock Documentary Mansome 05/22/2012

Artist John Ross Palmer of Houston, Texas has made his silver-screen debut in the latest documentary by Supersize Me director Morgan Spurlock, Mansome.  This humorous-cum-informative documentary focuses on male grooming and was executive produced by well known actors Will Arnett and Jason Bateman (both of Arrested Development).  Mansome shows a cross-section of the newly-defined male of the 21st Century and delves intensely into such topics as body-grooming, beard competitions, the art of the moustache, male "products" and hair pieces.  Mansome first premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City to rave reviews and can currently be seen in Houston at the Edwards Greenway Grand Palace Stadium 24 at select times.

Artist John Ross Palmer appears twice in this hilarious new film giving commentary on what he believes masculinity is today.  Palmer said upon learning of his casting, "I was so flattered to have been selected out of the hundreds that were interviewed.  I know the film is going to do great and it was an out-of-body experience seeing myself on the big screen!"  He goes on to say about the film, "Mansome does an excellent job of describing how masculinity has evolved over time.  This is definitely a must-see for everyone!"  In Palmer's two cameo appearances in Mansome, he waxes poetic on both facial hair and men that choose to remove hair from their bodies.  With facial hair, Palmer says it's really a "slippery slope" for the individual, and for the latter, he tenses up, looks to the side and states, "Well I don't even know what to say about that..."
