From his very humble beginnings of showing his original abstract artwork at Houston, Texas-area bars and restaurants, 2009 put an exclamation point on the meteoric rise of the career of artist John Ross Palmer (b. 1974) when his fine art gallery was accepted and showcased at international art fairs Art Chicago, Art Toronto and the Red Dot Fair Miami.  In the words of John Palmer, a former high school football standout at Hastings High School in Houston, Texas, "This was like making the Super Bowl.  Three times over." The venture into the international art fair circuit kicked off in Chicago in May of 2009.  Lined up with galleries from around the globe including Spain, Korea, England, Germany and Canada, John Palmer Fine Art Gallery from Houston, Texas truly had a first class, well-rounded and vibrant presence as a first time exhibitor.  It was both historic and remarkable that John Palmer Fine Art Gallery then exhibited for the first time at Art Toronto in October of 2009.  This largely Canadian fair is dominated by world class galleries from Toronto and Montreal, and so simply being there is a tremendous accomplishment.  To wrap up the intensely successful year, John Palmer Fine Art traveled to sunny South Florida as a first time exhibitor at the Red Dot Fair Miami during the incredibly popular Art Basel week.  From being what some would call a big fish in the Texas art scene, these journeys to display his artwork at such major international art fairs are some of the first steps in establishing John Palmer as a world-renowned abstract artist.  If you would like more information about artist John Palmer, his presence at past and future international art fairs or his Houston Heights Fine Art Gallery, please call his art studio at 713-861-6726.
